Enabling FTP service

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a basic network protocol that allows users to transfer files from their computer to a server.

You already use it when uploading files to OnSign through your browser. However, FTP clients—software designed specifically for file transfers—offer additional advantages, such as scheduling and queuing uploads and, most importantly, supporting files up to 5 GB. Please notice that when uploading through your browser, the limit is 2 GB per file.

Before downloading the program, first enable FTP transfer on your account:

  1. Click on your username in the bottom-left corner and then on “Settings” on the drop-down menu.

When transferring files via FTP, we recommend using the FTPS variant, as it ensures encrypted and secure file transfers.
