This guide explains how to create Google Maps Apps. There are 4 different apps available:
- Area: Highlights a predefined area on the map.
- Directions: Displays the expected route from an origin to a destination.
- Live Traffic: Shows real-time traffic conditions for a specified location.
- Search: Displays map results related to a specified search query.
- Begin by clicking New in the top-left corner of the Content page.
- Then, select App.


- The Google Maps – Area app displays a predefined area on your screen and requires the following settings to be configured:
- Location
- Zoom Level
- Map Type
- Highlight
- Interaction
The Highlight option is essential for clearly visualizing the selected area.

- The Google Maps – Directions app provides the following customization options:
- Origin
- Stops
- Destination
- Travel Mode
- Avoidances
- Distance Unit
- Map Type

The map will appear as follows:

- To configure Google Maps – Live Traffic, you must provide the following:
- API Key
- Traffic Location
- Zoom Level
- Map Type
This map requires an API key. You can obtain a key directly from Google.
