Qbic is a hardware manufacturer whose compact Android based media players, including the BXP-350, are commonly used to run OnSign on multi-screen setups.
The BXP-350 uses a single firmware, regardless of how many screens it drives. Once that firmware is installed, the screen layout, mirroring the same content on every screen or splitting one canvas across two or three screens as a video wall, is chosen separately as a device setting.
This tutorial covers both parts: updating the firmware using Qbic's Remote Configuration Center (RCC), and then setting the video wall layout on the device itself.
OnSign does not host the download files required for this setup. Please contact the Qbic Support Team to obtain the latest firmware version.
Part 1. Update the firmware
- Contact Qbic's support team and request the RCC installer along with the current firmware file for the BXP-350.
- Once you have the RCC installer, run it and complete the setup.
- Open Remote Configuration Center.
- In RCC, click Device Configuration.
- Select HTTP if the computer and the player are on the same network.
- Select Set scan range, then either enter the device's exact IP address in both fields, or set a range to search for devices on the network.
- Click Scan and check the box next to your device once it appears in the list.
- Open the Remote Control tab.
- Check Firmware Update and select the firmware file you got from Qbic.
- Leave Remote Config checked at the bottom of the panel.
- Click Start Configuration.
- The device reboots and comes back up running the updated firmware.
Part 2. Set the video wall layout
With the firmware installed, choose how the connected screens should behave directly on the device.
- On the BXP-350, open Settings. This is reachable from the player app's configuration screen, or through the device's Android settings menu.
- Select Display.
- Under "Other display controls," select HDMI.
- Select Multi-Screen Mode.

- Choose the layout that matches your setup:
- Mirror Screens: every connected screen shows the same content
- Horizontal Dual Screens: 2 screens, extended mode, side by side
- Vertical Dual Screens: 2 screens, extended mode, stacked
- Horizontal Triple Screens: 3 screens, extended mode, side by side
- Vertical Triple Screens: 3 screens, extended mode, stacked
- When the "Reboot" prompt appears asking to apply the screen splicing setting, select Reboot.
After the update
Once the BXP-350 reboots, connect it in OnSign as a Player the way you normally would. If you chose one of the extended layouts (Horizontal or Vertical, Dual or Triple Screens), the device is now hardware ready for a video wall: use OnSign's video wall tools to build the canvas and lay out content across the connected screens.
