By default, Players update content in real time. Any changes to content made on the platform is immediately propagated and downloaded by all Players using that content.
The content download interval can be changed from real-time all the way up to only every 48 hours. In some circumstances this may be a necessary setting, just be aware that it does limit your flexibility in quickly adjusting the content your audience sees.
Important
- Only Players set to real-time update support remote view features.
- Players not set to real-time will be shown as online non-realtime with a blue Wi-Fi icon for most of the time and will briefly be shown as syncing when content is downloaded.
Here are the steps to change the Content Update Interval:
- Select the Player where you want to cut the content update interval back.
- Go to Settings in the Player menu.

- Scroll down to the Network Data Usage settings and modify the Content Update Interval to the desired frequency.

- Confirm with the orange Save Changes button on the bottom right.
Additional Download Settings
Additionally, you can add a download restriction to only download content a few days ahead of playback time, or configure a download schedule for time frames your Player may download new content, which we show in their dedicated tutorials.
- Use the Download Restrictions option to download restricted Content to your Player only 3, 5, or 7 days prior to their expected playback dates.
- Mark the "Days of the Week" when the Player may download new Content. The Player will check for updates on this schedule and at the frequency interval you defined. Next to the days of the week, you can also set start and end times. If times should vary per day of the week, click on “Add Another” to add different times.
