Do you already have your account filled with Content? Great! It is about time publish it. Even the greatest Content serves no purpose if hidden on your OnSign account, away from your audience's eyes.

Before learning how to publish, make sure to already have the OnSign Player App installed on a Player device and connected to your account.

You can publish a Campaign, a Playlist, a Composition, an App, or a media file like an image or video. 

1. In your Content page, select an item and open the pop-up menu with either a right-click or by clicking on the three dots on the right corner when hovering over it. Choose Publish. 

   

   Inside a Campaign, a Playlist, or an App, there is also a Publish button. They all lead to the same Publish page. 
2. The Publish page walks you through the Publishing process step by step. It starts by selecting which Player(s) should play this specific Content. Click on the “Available Destinations” on the left. That's Players, Player Groups, or Playlists. Select 1 or more with a double-click, so that they are moved to the "Selected Destinations" on the right side.

   

3. After selecting the Player(s), OnSign offers the following playback settings:

   

Playback Restrictions

• Play with no restrictions.
• Play only when: Set specific playback periods, define locations where the content will be shown, and/or when a Player has tag.
• Don't play when: This is the same as the option above. Instead of a positive list, you select a negative list.

How to Play It

• Play on Primary Loop: The Content will play any time.
• Play on Fallback Loop: The Content will only play when there is no other Content scheduled.
• Play On-Demand: Trigger the Content when you want it to play.
• Play When Crossing a GeoFence: The Content will play when the Player in motion crosses a geographic region.
• Start Playback At Specific Time: The Content will play at a predetermined time.

5. Click on the orange "Publish" button on the bottom-right after you have selected your options.
6. Your Content has been successfully published and will play on your Player!

   

In case you forgot a restriction, go into the Content in Player menu of your Player or, if it's a Campaign or Playlist, into the Publish menu of the Campaign or Playlist. There you can edit restrictions. 

If you forgot to publish to another Player, repeat the process.

If you want to change the method (How to Play It), there is no possibility to switch. You have to unpublish the Content from the Player and start over.
