Use the "Start Playback At Specific Time" option if you want to play a Content at a specific time. It will then play once or every specified minutes until midnight.
The "Start Playback At Specific Time" option is available either during publishing or as a trigger. They both work exactly the same.
"Start Playback At Specific Time" as Trigger
- Go to your Player's or Campaign's Triggers and Interactivity menu as shown in the Introduction to Triggers and Interactivity tutorial.
- Add a new trigger.
- For When select the option “Specific Time” at the bottom.
- Set the exact hour, minute, and second you want the Content to start. It will interrupt any Content which is currently playing. Choose whether you want the Content to repeat, and if so every how many minutes you want it to repeat. If you don't want it to repeat, just keep it at 0 to disable any repetition.
- For Action choose the Content you want to play at the specific time.
- Add Restrictions, if needed. For example you may want to play this message only on Fridays or only until an event took place. Without a restriction, the Content will play every day when the time comes around.
- Once everything is configured to your needs, confirm with the green check mark.
"Start Playback At Specific Time" at Publishing
- On the Content page, choose the Content you want to show at a certain time and selecting “Publish” from the drop down menu which appears with a right-click on the Content thumbnail.
- Select the Player(s) you want to publish the Content on.
- At "Playback Restrictions", add a restriction, if needed. For example you may want to play this message only on Fridays or only until an event took place. Without a restriction, the Content will play every day when the time comes around.
- At the “How to Play It” box, select the “Start Playback At Specific Time” option.
- Select the exact hour, minute, and second you want the Content to start. It will interrupt any Content which is currently playing. Choose whether you want the Content to repeat, and if so every how many minutes you want it to repeat. If you don't want it to repeat, just keep it at 0 to disable any repetition.
- Confirm with the orange "Publish" button.
Now, you just need to wait and check out your Content when it is playing at the time you set.
