Just like rebooting your Player when it shows hardware trouble, you can also restart the OnSign TV Player App when the software experiences difficulties. This works just like restarting a computer. It gives the App a fresh start, relieving it from clutter.
No need to physically go to the device. All you need is an internet connection to access your OnSign TV account and of course the Player needs to be online as well. It is particularly handy, when managing a digital signage network with several locations.
For Android devices, this feature is only available if:
- The device is rooted.
- It has a compatible OnSign TV Signage Platform Module (SPM) installed.
If neither options are available, the app will simply restart.
- In your OnSign TV account, select the device from the “Players” tab.
- Choose “Settings” from the menu on the left.
- You see the “Reboot” button on the top of the page. You will have the option to reboot the Player or Restart the Application (clicking on the arrow). "Restart the Application".

- Confirm the action in the pop-up window.

- The player will reboot. Allow for a few minutes.
